Blowup destiny to scale 1:8

Hi all,

I would like to print the mustang in a 1:8 scale. The body is easy, all files x1,25. But if I blowup the adjustable parts the screw holes will be 3,75mm……is there any option to keep them 3mm? I’m using thinkercat.

But first I will print it in 1/10. I’m using a Elegoo Saturn 3 resin printer with Elegoo abs-like resin 3.0.

Hello Jean,

You described it perfectly. The body is easy to scale up, but the chassis would need a complete size adjustment by modifying the CAD files.

I’ve also thought about making a 1:8 scale on-road car body and chassis.

If we succeed with youtube, we could make it happen.

So it’s not possible for me to expand some files with keeping the 3mm holes. So the only solution for now is to print 2 300mm wheelbase parts , cut them in parts and glue togetter to get the length I need in 1:8.

Let’s find some proper glue that will keep the resin parts together….

I want the mustang in scale 1:8. I will print all commen parts in scale 1:10. I use the middelpart of 283mm it’s very close to 1:8. I think the deference is only 0.2mm. The front and back are also build with existing parts in deferrend sizes.

The wb is 337,5mm. Back and front 212,5mm.

The only thing I can’t fix is the middle hole in the Rim. When I resize the rim in Tinkercat, the hole will be 3,75mm.

Scale 1:10 => 1:8, I multiplied the 1:10 parts with 1,25.

All parts are printed now. I’m satisdied wumuth them. Printed in/with Anycubic ABS like resin 3.0.

I blowup several part to get a 1/8 scale Destiny. Also blowup the mustang body, but not printed yet. I’m now waiting for all the parts from our friend Ali E…..will take until mid november…

In the meantime I found also on Ali E’s site a body of a pickup truck. It’s is compatible with all the 200mm parts…except the middle wheelbase connector. In the destiny files is the max wb 300. I need for the pickup 313,5…

Is there any option to get an update for this part? I can’t fix it in Tinkercad.
